THE SYSTEM SHOWS WINDOWS XP LOGO & GETS HANGED
Reason:
vThe above symptom says that the file "Software" is missing/corrupted.
v The above symptom is due to virus/unscheduled shut down/deletion.
Step to recover “Software” file by performing recovery console mode.
v Insert the windows XP bootable CD & restart.
v Press any key to boot from CD……
v Set up is loading the files.
v We can see 3 options.
§ Enter = continue
§ [R=Repair/1st Repair/Recovery console mode]
§ F3=Quit.
Press R to perform recovery console mode.

Type Administrator password:
